Edna Gicovi was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a former journalist turned creative writer with two books to her name, teen novella Mwende (Storymoja, 2015) and children’s book Tone’s Big Drop (Book Dash, 2017). She has a background in Psychology as well and works with a humanitarian organization that provides mental health services to trauma and torture survivors seeking refuge in Kenya.
