Libera Anima Vestra (Free your soul)
As I stared at a blank page,
Trying to think of what to write,
Trying to find the strength,
To tell you how I survived.
If the world was a roller coaster,
Then my life was one big ride.
We grew up with dreams, of having big houses,
And women in blouses, with thick thighs,
To achieve and drive the big cars,
We either had to become an athlete or spit bars.
This shit’s hard,
Like I really need my life to change,
I had to evaluate my life again,
So when you die,
Get to read the book of life and come across my page.
You’ll see it was written this,
Captain sailed the sea and wrote poems not mice and men.
He was nice and well prepared like cooking some rice,
A lot of things were in his head, not just the lice,
And back on earth you would read the lies of how humans were split,
But never split the pie.
If you decide, you have a dream then climb,
If you decide you have the wings then fly
Because you can only be YOU, not any other guy
So young caterpillar, get out of this cocoon and break free like a butterfly
Because you don’t have to hide,
Don’t close the curtains if you aren’t blind
And let the pain make you a man like you were circumcised
For if we are not living to be free, I would rather die.
Anima
Anima Vestra
Libera Anima Vestra.
Salut.
